Websites was a website for travel enthusiasts. Not only hardcore globe-trotters but also casual tourists. The website allowed them to share travel experiences: stories, photos, movies, places on the map.

I was responsible for designing the functionality and implementing graphic design with CSS. Using paper and electronic prototypes I designed the content of all the screens and user interaction with them. The prototypes later served as a blueprint for graphic designer and the Java hackers I worked with. My goal was to create a streamlined interface which would make it easy to publish trip information and present it in an attractive way. You can read more about the process in a separate blog entry.

Work done

  • Paper prototypes clarifying initial concept
  • Detailed mockups of the screens their behavior
  • Coordinating the work of the graphic designer with the programmers
  • Client-side code (XHTML templates, CSS, some JavaScript)
