Confessions of the Traitor

In 2012, after a decade of working with the web, I switched to Objective C to make native games for the iOS. The new environment initially felt awkward, but eventually it affected the way I now write JavaScript. Betraying JavaScript made me better at it.
In this talk given at WebConf in Riga I discussed the benefits of unit testing, static analysis and refactoring. These practices are commonplace for iOS developers and it’s not a coincidence they’re now making strides in the JavaScript world.
